Calvin is a young lad who first appeared in the newspapers way back in 1985. He has a pet stuffed tiger who he believes is a real one. He communicates all his feelings to Hobbes. He is at times extremely dumb -- so dumb that he cannot add 6+5 together, but at times so intelligent to tell his parents abt the existence of dinosaurs millions of years ago.
This is an attempt to bring C&H to kannada. There is no commercial/monetory benefit obtained through this work and is done purely for fun and nucleates from the passion I have as an ardent C&H fan. If anybody is offended by this work or the original creator is not satisfied by this work, I shall be happy to remove them. But please feel free to post your comments after viewing the cartoons. :)

ಕ್ಯಾಲ್ವಿನ್ ಮತ್ತು ಹಬ್ಬಸ್ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಜನರ ಅಚ್ಚುಮೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಕಾರ್ಟೂನ್. ಇದನ್ನು ಕನ್ನಡಕ್ಕೆ ತರುವ ಒಂದು ಸಣ್ಣ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ. ಈ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವುದೇ ರೀತಿಯ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಲಾಭ ಪಡೆಯಲಾಗುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಇದನ್ನು ನಾನು ನನಗೆ C&H ಮೇಲೆ ಇರುವ ಅಭಿಮಾನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಓದಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಟೀಕೆ ಟಿಪ್ಪಣಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕಲು ಮರೆಯದಿರಿ :)
ಮೊದಲನೆಯದು ನಾನು ಮೊದಲಬಾರಿಗೆ ಈ ಅನುವಾದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಶುರು ಮಾಡಿದಾಗ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸಿದ ಮೊದಲ ಕಾರ್ಟೂನ್. ಎರಡನೆಯದು -- ಸೆಕೆಂಡ್ ಅಟ್ಟೆಂಪ್ಟ್. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಟೂನ್^ಗಳನ್ನ ಪದಕ್ಕೆ ಪದ ಅನುವಾದ ಮಾಡದೇ ಭಾವನಗಳನ್ನ ಅನುವಾದ ಮಾಡುವ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ. ಅದಕ್ಕೇ ಕೆಲವೊಮ್ಮೆ ನಿಮಗೆ ಮೂಲ ಕಾರ್ಟೂನಿಗೂ ಕನ್ನಡದ ಅನುವಾದಕ್ಕೂ ಬಹಳಷ್ಟು ವ್ಯತ್ಯಾಸ ಕಂಡು ಬರಬಹುದು.

ಓ ಅರುಣನ ನಾಣಿಯೂ ಇಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾನಾ? ಸೂಪರ್. ರವಿಯವರಿಗೂ ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬರಲು ಹೇಳಿ. ನಾನಂತೂ ಪ್ಲಾನೆಟ್‍ಗೆ ಪರ್ಮನೆಂಟ್ ಗಿರಾಕಿ. ನಿಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ (ಗೋವಿಂದ, ಸಾಂಬಶಿವ ಮತ್ತು ಕೇಶು-ನಾಣಿ) ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನೋಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಸಂತಸದ ವಿಷಯ.
